Laura Mullen Event Design has transformed a struggling fundraiser, benefiting Family Tree Clinic, into a premier spring event. Laura has a wonderful ability to take a vast number of seemingly unrelated details and spin them into gold. Because of Laura's creativity, attention to detail, and work ethic, paid attendance at my organization’s annual beer tasting fundraiser, Arborfest, has grown from less then 100 people just a few years ago to more then 450 in 2008. Had it not been for Laura and her energy and enthusiasm Arborfest would have died a slow painful death a number of years ago. I am extremely grateful to have found Laura because I know I can trust that she has the best interest of the Clinic in mind as she develops the design, color scheme, sponsorships, music, and assortment of details for the event. I am always amazed and surprised at how she can transform our event space into a thing of beauty for all attending. Family Tree is truly blessed to have Laura Mullen Event Design coordinate its annual event.

Arborfest 2004 - 2009
Our wedding was really beyond what I imagined it could be. It was an absolutely perfect day. Tom and I both know that it would never have worked out if not for Laura Mullen Event Design. I feel extremely, extremely lucky that I found Laura. I don't think that any other wedding planner would have been as patient, or as creative, or as sensitive to our needs and our personality. It was such a fun collaboration. I felt that together we really invented an idea of what our wedding could be, instead of focusing on what a wedding should be. It was the perfect mix, casual but classy! Laura is very, very talented!

The best thing we did for our corporate event was hiring Laura Mullen Event Design. Being located in Chicago and trying to plan a client event in Minneapolis proved to be very challenging right from the start. I was very lucky that someone recommended Laura’s services to me. From the initial planning stages to the end of the event she was such a pleasure to work with, professional, creative, prompt and resourceful. She was able to help us create a truly unique business event incorporating art and creativity into the business networking environment. The event was stylish and fun and most importantly, the clients were extremely impressed with every aspect of the evening, especially the specialty cocktails! Laura also has great relationships with local business and was able to help us choose and secure the perfect venues, caterers and even recommended great restaurants for our out-of-town clients to enjoy. I could not have done this event without Laura!

My husband says hiring Laura was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding – I can’t agree with him more! We both wish that we had hired Laura earlier in the process to help us plan the event (we hired her to coordinate the “day-of” or wedding – though she went far beyond that) – she was so helpful in ensuring a smooth and well-coordinated wedding weekend, we can only imagine how much she would have added to the process of finding and booking locations, vendors, etc….... Laura brings creativity, excellent organizational skills, and a great sense of humor to her work.
